Enjoy...
Friday was absolutely nuts. It was a perfect Georgia fall day- low 40's in the morning and it warmed up to the upper 60's with dry sunshine all day long. The guys took advantage and essentially framed the entire second floor.
Now things are really starting to sink in, because you're seeing rooms appear before your eyes and you can begin envisioning where the beds are going to go, and what chairs will sit where and what picture will hang on what wall.
Without actual walls and just the wooden framework, actual space and dimensions can be a bit deceiving. In some cases, rooms can look smaller or larger than you envisioned, depending on your context. |
Sometimes you have to just trust your gut and the numbers that you crunched with your builder and especially the architect while planning the whole thing out. |
You know what dimensions you lived with previously, so how can you handle having MORE space, even if it's an extra 40 or 50 square feet in a single room? I guess we're going to find out!
Sounds like the second floor will be finished early next week and the roof could be on by Wednesday- Unreal.
