The Roof, The Roof! - Day 10

It was a wonderful weekend in just about every aspect: Fantastic Fall weather, UGA football won big, the Atlanta Falcons finally remembered how to win a game and Kristin, Grace and I got a chance to walk through the house again.
Monday meant back to work for everyone, and the construction crew didn't waste any time.

They put up the rafters and cross beams and are making spectacular progress.

At the current pace, they should be able to finish up the framing and start putting on the roof decking and the shingles.

Who knows, by the end of the week or early next week they could start putting on some of the siding.

After that, the electricians will begin to wire the place and I assume plumbing and HVAC ducting would follow.

It seems like this has all been going so fast, we really will have prepare ourselves for the tortoise-slow portion of the process with all of the roughing in of utilities and finishing.
